KISORO, Uganda, Nov. 11 — Sultana Salim, commonly known as “Tana,” is emerging as a beacon of hope for Kisoro residents, whose voices have long been stifled under the weight of underdevelopment. Running in the upcoming Kisoro Woman MP by-election, Salim has pledged a strong, reform-driven agenda to bring change and accountability to the region.

Positioning herself as a reformist, Salim argues that a vote for her is a vote against decades of neglect under Uganda’s current regime. She has centered her campaign on promises to elevate Kisoro’s infrastructure, improve essential services, and be a voice for those struggling without representation. Her bid is receiving growing support among citizens eager for change.

Salim’s campaign is backed by the National Unity Platform (NUP), whose ongoing countrywide tour underscores a vision of justice and economic reform for Uganda. Her supporters say she represents a new era for Kisoro, one in which government accountability and local development become a priority.

The by-election in Kisoro, set to take place soon, will test the strength of Salim’s call for reform in a region hungry for progress and reliable infrastructure.
