In a powerful mobilization effort, National Unity Platform (NUP) leader Bobi Wine, alongside party teams, has extended organizational outreach to Uganda’s Teso Sub-region. The initiative included visits to Soroti, Kaperebyong, Serere, Bukedea, Ngora, Kumi, Katakwi, Amuria, Soroti City, Kaberamaido, and Kalaki districts. This grassroots mobilization aimed to bolster party presence, engaging directly with local leaders and supporters to address concerns regarding human rights, governance, and development.
Wine emphasized the importance of unity, encouraging local leaders and supporters to stay resolute despite mounting pressure. The mobilization tour reflects NUP’s strategy to strengthen its influence at the community level as it continues to push for democratic reforms. NUP spokespersons noted that the interactions underscored the people’s commitment to safeguarding democratic freedoms, human rights, and political transparency.
