National Unity Platform Announces 5th Annual Diaspora Convention in Boston

BOSTON — The National Unity Platform (NUP) has officially announced its 5th Annual Diaspora Convention, scheduled to run from August 7 to 11, 2025, in Boston, Massachusetts. The event will serve as a rallying point for NUP advocates and supporters both abroad and in Uganda, focusing on fostering unity and strategy in the ongoing push for political and social change.

The convention aims to mobilize resources, re-energize supporters, and align strategies for the realization of what the party describes as the “dream of a new Uganda.” Senior party leadership is expected to attend, alongside Diaspora-based members and international allies of the NUP movement.

Building Synergy for Change
The NUP has framed the convention as a crucial gathering to maintain momentum among its supporters, particularly in the face of ongoing challenges in Uganda. According to party organizers, the event will emphasize collaboration and collective action to address issues of governance, democracy, and human rights.

The convention comes at a time of growing activity among NUP supporters in the Diaspora, with a renewed focus on advocating for political reforms and accountability back home.

CMP Publications will provide updates on the convention as more details emerge.
