Patients are forced to sleep on floors in hospitals, children still study under trees, and there is a shortage of medicines in hospitals 1. This has led to widespread outrage among citizens who feel that their needs are being ignored by the government.

It is important for governments to prioritize the needs of their citizens over those of foreign delegates. While hosting international events can be beneficial for a country, it should not come at the expense of basic services for citizens.
